Bayer's Berkeley 43-acre facility is a scientific research center within a campus environment; it therefore must balance the needs of production facilities with those of corporate employees. Since 1999, as Aliquot’s Project Manager and Civil Engineer, Robert Wong and his team have been Bayer’s exclusive on-call consultant for the expansion of an adjoining 20-acre site and gradually rehabilitation of their original campus.
Our work has included field investigation, feasibility studies, design development, cost estimating, PS&E, and permitting/coordinating with Berkeley and private utility agencies. It has also required managing other consultants (i.e., architects, MEP’s, landscape architects, planners, attorneys, and general contractors) as well as reporting to Bayer’s committees and leaders.
